Ampersand Australia represents the vision of several leading therapists and educators who saw the need to redesign the way therapy is taught.

As an internationally recognised learning institute for health professionals, Ampersand Australia provides a clear pathway to a nationally recognised qualification and a rewarding career, without the need for prolonged university study.

Established in 1995, Ampersand Australia is Australia's leading education provider for Solution Oriented Therapy. While our core programs are available in Victoria's cities of Bendigo, Ballarat and Shepparton, we also tailor programs specifically to the needs of our clients - groups, organisations or agencies - both nationally and internationally.

Our courses offer practical, hands-on training and are supervised by experienced, qualified practitioners to help you fast track your career or further your interest in counselling and hypnotherapy. With a strong experiential emphasis, we embrace a range of learning modes, including:

• didactic presentations
• live and video demonstrations
• small group practice
• written assignments
• independent study groups
• clinical experience
• supervision. 

Our diploma programs comply with the standards established by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), and provide a pathway for national recognition for its students through the Association of Solution Oriented Counsellors and Hypnotherapists of Australia (ASOCHA).

Following two years of part-time training, together with clinical experience and supervision through Ampersand Australia, students can apply for full membership of ASOCHA and will have met the minimum national standard of qualifications set by PACFA.

We also further support our students to continue their training, supervision and experience, to qualify to be listed on the PACFA National Register of Counsellors, as many of our graduates have done.
